Nominations sought for 2024 King Medal of Service Award

Do you know someone who has gone above 和 beyond in service to their community? Nominate them today for the 杰克逊的大学 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Medal of Service Award!
杰克逊的大学 is now accepting nominations for the 2024 award which honors individuals 和 organizations who give time, talent 和 resources to make our community a better place. The award recognizes community service 和 devotion to King’s ideals in Jackson County. Medal will be awarded during the 杰克逊的大学 King Celebration in January.
Applications are currently available online at http://forms.office.com/r/xbe9gCTWXV . The deadline to submit the application is 周三,11月. 8乘5.m. The award criteria recognize those who are committed to carrying out the dream of Dr. King in several areas:
- Belief in the basic tenets of cultural 和 ethnic diversity,
- Giving back to the community through volunteerism 和 service,
- Support 和 promotion of educational opportunities for underrepresented populations in Jackson County,
- Promoting financial opportunities for poorer citizens of Jackson County,
- Guiding youth 和 offering opportunities for social 和 moral development, giving them tools to interact socially with the broader culture, 和
- Working toward a safe community 和 reduction of crime in Jackson County.
Recent winners of the award include 安东尼帕克 (2023), 莫妮卡·皮尔斯(2022), Benny Poole (posthumously 2021), Arlene Robinson (2020), 小哈罗德·怀特. (2019), 和 Alan Wade (2018).
